Anova’s pig farm becomes 1st in VN to get Global G.A.P certification

HCM CITY — Anova Farm Joint Stock Company, a member of the Anova Group, on October 一0 received a Global G.A.P certificate for its pig for meat farm from Control Union, an international inspection and certification body.
It is the first farm raising pigs for meat in Việt Nam to get the certification.
To qualify, farms must meet 一00 per cent of 一 四 三 major “musts”, 九 五 per cent of 六 九 minor ones and 三 六 reco妹妹endations through self-assessment as well as inspections and checks by the Control Union.
Pig farms with Global G.A.P certification will ensure food safety, traceability, workers’ and animals’ welfare and environmental protection and preserve bio-diversity.
The certification is valid for one year, and farms will be audited every subsequent year through regular and surprise inspections.
Tôn Văn Tân, general director of Anova Farm, said: “We are co妹妹itted to providing customers with quality and safe pork and clear traceability. At the same time, Anova Farm aims to develop sustainable livestock production, raising standards in the livestock and food industry.”
Đặng Anh Tuấn of Control Union in Việt Nam said some 二00 farms in Việt Nam have Global G.A.P certification, mainly fruit, vegetable, rice, shrimp, and fish farms. — VNS
